Who am I really?

I care about design a nauseating amount. Ever since I was little I put a painstaking amount of effort into things I was passionate about. Whether that be the movies I made of my Webkinz, art, or school work. I would spend hours on a project until it was perfect. I also was very earnest about creating projects that would positively impact the world. I never understood the point of devoting time to something that would not be contributing to positive progress. When I applied to college I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I could not think of a career that I was zealous about. Thankfully though I discovered graphic design during my senior year. I never really considered what a graphic designer was until this point. I knew vaguely what they were in that they made graphics for companies. However, I never considered that design is more than images. It is language, placement, mood, messages, etc. It is all about the little details and you have to be obsessive with your design for it to be effective. With this new knowledge, I decided to major in graphic design. I have kept my painstaking commitment to this medium throughout my college career. I am non-stop brainstorming new ideas for my designs. I even dream regularly about type and placement. Additionally, I have found that design has no limits. The medium has many faces like publication, web, motion, and more. This is why I hope to use my meticulous work ethic in all forms of design that will make beneficial impacts.
